Mark Karge ’11 is living in Beijing, China where he works as an English tutor while continuing his studies of Chinese language and culture through the Inter University Program at Tsinghua University.  This  is Mark’s fourth trip to the PRC, having first gone to the city of Shanghai as his Study Abroad semester in 2007.  He plans to stay in Beijing until some time in 2013.  His longer-term objective is to land a job with a firm active in China’s energy and/or auto sectors so that he can tap into his business and liberal arts education from Saint Michael’s, and his knowledge of Chinese language and customs.  This past May, Mark was the subject of an interesting article in a widely-read online publication
